    Prior to learning that I suffered from both heart failure and kidney disease, I weighed 250 lbs (at 6′ tall) and took great pride in my ability to routinely break my own personal lifting records in the gym. Following my diagnosis, I immediately dropped 35 lbs of weight and changed my workout routine so that I was lifting lighter weight with more reps.

    What do you do to stay fit – cardio, strength training or a combination of both? Any tips for those of us living with heart disease?
